B Scene: May Self-Guided Tour

The weather’s heating up and so is ATX nightlife. Austin B-cycle is up all night, so forget about parking and save that cab fare for another Lone Star as you enjoy the central city’s best spots to party on our May self-guided tour.

On this all-abilities ride, you'll have a chance to lounge on SoCo patios, stroll the bustling strip on Rainey Street, grab a bite at an East Side trailer, take in some music on Red River and B scene in the Warehouse District.

So grab a B-cycle anytime, 24/7, and roll into summer in style. Here's our suggested route...

  • Start your evening at Guero's, on the south end of SoCo, then grab a bike and pedal north on Congress Avenue, right on E. Caesar Chavez, then right on Red River, and left on Davis Street. The station will be on your left.
  • Enjoy Happy Hour on Rainey Street: Enjoy the sites along Rainey Street as you stroll by foot to the River Street station, only a few blocks away. Station will be on the northwest corner of the roundabout.
  • Get hip on East 6th: Take River Street eastbound under I-35. Turn left on Waller Street and keep going until reaching E. 6th Street where you'll find the B-station on the right
  • Catch a band in the Red River District: Ride westbound on 6th Street, under I-35. Turn right on Red River Street and you'll find the station at the intersection of 8th Street on the left.
  • Do some dancing in the Warehouse District: Head back down Red River, southbound to 4th Street. Turn right and head westbound until reaching Congress Avenue. The station will be on the northwest corner of the intersection. Walk a block west, to the center of the action.
  • Wrap up your evening with a snack at Doc's, on the SoCo strip: Pedal down Congress Avenue south bound across the river. Your destination is on the east side of Congress, at the intersection of Academy Drive.
